Happy Halloween

Well, we made it through Halloween! We spent the evening over at Lindsay and Dan's house and had a great time. Lindsay made some amazing Chili, yummy caramel apples and lots of other goodies. While trick or treating, Carson loved going up and knocking on the doors....although he was a little scared of some of the "spooky" houses. Here are some pictures to share. We can take pictures of ourselves for hours and look at them and laugh. Yes Josh, that is what we do at night when you're out of town!

October 2009

Hello everyone and welcome to the Hughes' family website. I'm hoping to use this site to share pictures and update everyone on our daily activities.

So far this month we have had lots going on. We are in the process of turning our shed into Josh's office to make room for Landon to join our family. Josh, Jim and Craig have put a ton of effort into this shed and I appreciate it so much. It will be nice for Josh to have his own "man cave" even if it's mostly for work.

At the beginning of October I took Carson to Maris Farms. It was their opening day and Carson LOVED the animals! He was obsessed with the pony ride and wanted to do it over and over. We wanted to take him back again this month, but it didn't work out as planned. He did go to Mosby Farms with his class and came home with a little pumpkin he picked out by himself. The best part was that his daddy was able to go on the fieldtrip with him.

On October 17th, my dear friend Denise threw me a baby shower honoring baby Landon. It was a beautiful party and I'm so greatful for everyone's generosity. What a fun day!

We are in the final countdown for Isla to join the world. Lindsay is almost 37 weeks pregnant and she has an ultrasound on Thursday to see just how big baby Isla is. She is measuring a little big so they want to make sure Isla isn't a big baby like her big cousin Carson. We are all praying for a safe and healthy delivery for Lindsay and we can't wait to meet this little girl!

As for us, we are in our 31st week of pregnancy and everything is going along as scheduled. We have our next doctor appointment on November 2nd

One more thing...

Our dear little baby has a full name. I am honored to be naming our 2nd son after the most incredible man I have known, my dad!

Landon Ezell Hughes....we can't wait to meet you little man.
